Michelle Marquez Dee from Makati was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 after giving an impressive winning answer during the final question-and-answer portion. She outshined Pauline Amelinckx from Bohol and Krishnah Marie Gavidez from Baguio, who secured the second and third positions, respectively. Christine Juliane Opiaza from Zambales and Mary Angelique Manto from Pampanga were the runner-ups.
During the final round, the top 5 candidates were posed the same question by pageant host Xian Lim. The question revolved around the Department of Tourism’s new branding campaign, “We give the world our best.” Michelle Dee’s winning answer emphasized that Filipinos themselves are the best natural resource in the Philippines. She highlighted their hospitable nature, warm smiles, and role in attracting visitors to the country.

In the first round of the Q&A segment, the candidates tackled different topics. Michelle Dee discussed addressing income inequality through quality education; Pauline Amelinckx focused on making the digital space safe; Krishnah Marie Gavidez shared her perspective on transgender athletes in women’s sports; Christine Juliane Opiaza emphasized the balance between artificial intelligence and manpower; and Mary Angelique Manto emphasized the importance of embracing both the positive and negative aspects of the Philippines.
