Earlier this week, another landslide hit the Krishna Nagar area of Shimla, causing the collapse of multiple houses. Rescue operations were swiftly launched, led by NDRF, SDRF, and state police personnel. The Indian Air Force conducted an airlift mission to transport army personnel and equipment to aid the rescue efforts.
The Chief Minister has prioritized the restoration process, focusing on reopening blocked roads and reestablishing disrupted electricity and water systems. As urban expansion exacerbates the impact of torrential rains, the Forest Department has been tasked with swiftly removing fallen trees to mitigate potential challenges for local residents.
