Tensions simmered down after a standoff between Mbappé and PSG, leading the club to temporarily sideline the star player. However, relations between PSG’s Nasser Al Khelaïfi and France’s national team captain are now reportedly solid.
While media reports suggest Mbappé may have forfeited part of his substantial loyalty bonuses, neither the player’s camp nor the club have officially commented on the matter. Despite the earlier turmoil, the player’s on-field performance has been noteworthy, with 16 goals in various competitions this season.
Having dealt with the potential departure of Lionel Messi and Neymar, PSG is adjusting to the idea of a future without Mbappé, emphasizing that the team is not overly dependent on any single player. Spanish media outlets continue to campaign for Mbappé to join Real Madrid, with reports suggesting a decision may be required by mid-January. However, the recent signing of Jude Bellingham by Real Madrid raises questions about the club’s capacity for multiple superstars.
