At the PGA Tour’s Rockets Mortgage Classic in Detroit, US golfers Peter Kuest and Taylor Moore started on top at the end of the first round with a 64 (-8) each.
Kuest, who admitted he would be fishing right now if he hadn’t won his spot in the tournament last Monday, got off to a great start at Detroit Golf Club by carding six birdies in the first nine holes. Moore, meanwhile, made four birdies in the last five holes to match Kuest at the top.
Among the Latin American golfers, Argentina’s Augusto Nunez was the best placed in 83rd place with 71 strokes (-1), while Argentina’s Tano Goya and Colombia’s Nico Echavarria tied for 107th place with 72 strokes, equal to the field.
