Through a video update on his Instagram account, Foxx addressed his fans and admitted that there was a lot of speculation about what led to his being hospitalized, but decided not to reveal any details about the incident.
Foxx explained that he didn’t want his fans to see him in that state, as he preferred them to remember him laughing, having fun, and working on creative projects. The actor thanked his daughter and sister for saving his life and recognized the importance of having the support and protection of his family during difficult times.
Foxx was recently seen in Chicago, where he received medical treatment at a specialized rehabilitation center for patients with physical disabilities or spinal or brain injuries. Although he faced rumors on social media, the actor clarified that his eyes work fine and he is not paralyzed. Despite the obstacles on his road to recovery, Foxx expressed his determination to return to work and continue his career.
Foxx’s video was followed by a photo of him atop a gold car captioned “great things to come.” The Oscar winner concluded the video with a message of love and gratitude to his followers, assuring that although it has been a difficult road, he now has his legs under him and will continue with the support of his loved ones.
