Ed Sheeran added a playful twist to his day recently. The 32-year-old singer, renowned for hits like “Shape of You,” unexpectedly turned up at the Lego store situated within the Mall of America in Minnesota. Engaging in a unique role as a “brick specialist,” he enthusiastically assisted young shoppers in selecting vibrant building sets. A video shared on his Instagram captured moments of Sheeran distributing boxed Lego kits, obliging autograph requests, and delighting starry-eyed children by posing for snapshots.
In the footage, Sheeran humorously donned an outfit tailored to the occasion. With a bright yellow apron adorned with a nametag bearing the moniker “Ed” and a Lego-themed graphic T-shirt, he introduced his venture. “Here I am at the Mall of America in Minnesota, all geared up as a brick specialist at the Lego store, ready to immerse myself in the world of “Lego House,” he jestingly disclosed.
The musician later took center stage within the mall, serenading an appreciative throng of fans who had gathered. Strumming his guitar, Sheeran treated the crowd to an acoustic rendition of his well-known track “Lego House.” Following the performance, he expressed his exhilaration, hinting at an extraordinary surprise in store for the audience attending his subsequent concert at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis that evening. “I’ve got a load of these “Autumn Is Coming” minifigures, and I’ll be handing them out during the show. I’ll catch you in a little while,” he playfully concluded.
