The famous adult film actress and influencer, Mia Khalifa, is in the middle of a controversy that could seriously affect her artistic career. After expressing her support for the Palestinian cause amid recent clashes between Hamas and the Israeli military, Playboy announced the cancellation of her contract with Khalifa.
In a statement sent to its subscribers, Playboy explained that they decided to end their business relationship with Khalifa and remove his channel from their platforms due to the “grotesque and reprehensible comments” he made celebrating Hamas attacks in Israel and the murder of innocent people. The company highlighted its zero-tolerance policy toward hate speech and emphasized its commitment to free expression and constructive political debate.
This is not the first time Khalifa has been involved in controversy. She launched her career in the adult industry in 2014 and subsequently retired, facing public criticism and death threats from the Islamic State for a scene in which she wore a hijab. Additionally, she sued several adult production companies to remove videos of her from online platforms, as they continued to profit from her image after her removal.
