Immediately, a bomb disposal team was sent to the location, and administration officials informed the military about the event as it was unfolding.
An active bomb was discovered on Monday evening in Chandigarh, close to the Kansal and Nayagaon T-points, according to officials. They further stated that the place where the bomb was discovered was less than two kilometres away from the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
According to the police, they promptly arrived at the location after receiving the information regarding the explosives, and they cordoned off the area once they arrived.

An explosive ordnance disposal team was sent to the scene as soon as possible. The administration also shared the details of the incident with the military.
Sanjeev Kohli, the nodal officer for disaster management in Chandigarh, stated that “we have secured the live shell and the area has been sealed off.”
After receiving this information, police teams from both Mohali and Chandigarh travelled to the location in question. According to a senior police official, an investigation into the situation is currently underway.
