The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has arrived in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, on an official visit, accompanied by his wife, Cilia Flores. He was received with honors at the airport of the city’s military air base. The purpose of this visit is to reestablish strategic bilateral alliances with Brazil, on which Maduro agrees with his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

After his arrival, Maduro thanked the people for the warm welcome and expressed that in the coming hours they would focus on developing a diplomatic agenda to strengthen the necessary union among the peoples of the continent.
