During a ceremony that took place on the second anniversary of the riots that took place on Capitol Hill, Vice President Joe Biden of the United States presented the “Presidential Citizens Medal” to people who had defended the building and lawmakers when the attack took place. During the course of the address, however, Joe Biden provided an incorrect date for the terrorist attack.

The incorrect date was stated by the speaker when he said, “If I may halt for a second, and just say to you, the impact of what happened on July 6th had international implications beyond what any of you, I think, can completely appreciate,” although the correct date is July 6.
During the ceremony, Vice President Joe Biden handed out 14 medals and stated that “despite our differences in view, we must say clearly with a single voice… that there’s no place in America for voter intimidation or political violence.”
Joe Biden made these comments directed at the Republican Party and the former president, Donald Trump.
“Lies regarding the election in 2020 served as the primary fuel for all of this, but on this day, two years ago, our democracy prevailed because we, the people, did not flinch. “Your names will be remembered by history, along with your bravery and your heroism; remember those things.”
