During the broadcast of Super Bowl LVII, the “Run with It” campaign was launched, highlighting the importance of women’s sports and featuring Diana Flores Arenas, the captain of the Mexican flag football team that won the world championship in 2022.
In the ad, a journalist interviews the 25-year-old athlete and highlights her agility, asking her if there is anyone who can take away her flags, which she wears hanging from her belt. Diana replies with a smile, “There will probably be someone who can.” The presenter tries to approach, but Diana deftly avoids her and begins to run.
Throughout the ad, Diana shows her sports skills and overcomes different obstacles and people trying to take her flags away from her, something similar to a tackle in American soccer.
On her social networks, Diana wrote: “This is for all the women who drive this game. I’m proud to be part of the ad.” The ad campaign is aimed at “all the women who drive soccer,” and the NFL shared a final message saying, “We can’t wait to see how far they will take this game.” It is worth noting that Diana had already participated in an NFL event, as she was an offensive coordinator at the 2023 Pro Bowl, where she worked alongside historic player Peyton Manning.
