The Congress of Deputies has awarded the annual contracts for the supply of energy and gas, dividing them into three lots. According to Europa Press, the company Total Energies has been awarded the contract for the supply of high-voltage electricity and natural gas, with a total amount of 3.72 million euros. On the other hand, Blubat Pulsar has been awarded the contract for the supply of low-voltage electricity for 22,500 euros.
The tender was called in October with a base bidding budget of 4,996,000 euros. Although the contracts awarded are for one year, they could be extended for another year. In all three contracts, the Congress has opted for the cheapest option. Total Energies has offered the lowest bid for the supply of high-voltage electricity and natural gas, while Blubat Pulsar has submitted the lowest bid for the supply of low-voltage electricity.
In the case of high-voltage electricity supply, Total Energies submitted a bid of 3,402,000 euros, below the bids submitted by Iberdrola, EDP, and Blubat. As for the supply of natural gas, Total Energies offered 322,500 euros, while the other bids were from Gas Natural, Iberdrola, and Liquid Natural Gas SL.
The base budget foreseen for the supply of low-voltage electricity was 30,000 euros, and Blubat Pulsar offered 22,500 euros, thus beating Total Energies and Iberdrola. The awarded companies will have to process, before the distribution company, the modifications to the contracted services that are considered necessary to optimize the bill.
