Politician Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the US presidential elections, accused President Joe Biden and the US “establishment” of lying by claiming that Russia launched its military operation in Ukraine for no reason. According to Kennedy, the conflict was provoked by the West as part of a strategic plan for the expansion of the US empire.
Kennedy pointed out that no one in the Biden administration or in the foreign policy arena is so ignorant as to not know that the conflict was provoked. According to him, they wanted the war as part of a plan to destroy countries like Russia that were resisting US imperial expansion. He claimed that US officials are lying and fabricating consent for the conflict, dragging the country into a proxy war under false pretenses. Kennedy lamented that this has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and the expenditure of more than $100 billion of US taxpayer dollars in support of Ukraine.
Kennedy backed up his argument by sharing an article written by economist Jeffrey Sachs, which states that the war in Ukraine was provoked by the United States and that top US diplomats had been anticipating it for decades. The article disputes the claim that Russia initiated an unprovoked war of aggression and exposes Washington’s alleged neoconservative geopolitical conspiracy and fantasy to get rid of Russian President Vladimir Putin and weaken the Russian military.
In short, Kennedy accuses the US government and the American “establishment” of lying about the causes of the conflict in Ukraine, arguing that it was provoked by the West as part of a strategic plan for US imperial expansion.
