The Mayor of Messapia, George Psathas, was quoted on Skai radio as saying, “It was felt quite strongly… and it lasted a long time.”
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, there was a subsequent tremor that had a magnitude of 3.6 after the initial quake.
